A pre-paid eUICC lifetime SIM activates only when LoRa, WiFi, and Bluetooth are all out of range. 500MB pre-loaded — at one update per minute, that's roughly 25 years of emergency use. Included in the device price. The carrier is switchable via the app — so if that provider ever changes, you're never stuck.
Every other pet tracker has a charging port — a hole in the case that lets water in and eventually fails. Icnea has zero openings. The enclosure is completely sealed, and charges magnetically, just like an Apple Watch.
Most GPS trackers lock you to one carrier permanently. If that carrier goes bust, changes their terms, or simply gets worse — you're stuck. Icnea uses a next-generation eUICC chip that lets you switch mobile carrier from the app, at any time, in under 2 minutes.
Standard GPS trackers solder a fixed SIM to the circuit board during manufacturing. One carrier, permanently. If that carrier ceases operations or changes their IoT service — that device's cellular layer dies forever. No fix exists short of a hardware recall.
